Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join Tuesdays Child Agency and arrange a session? Please contact Tuesday's Child at    www.tuesdayschildagency.co.uk  and make an appointment

for which ever venue you prefer.

When are the sessions held?

Once a month at Weekends.

Where are they held?

1.        Tuesdays Child's premises near Macclesfield.

2.        Central London Studio.

What if I can't keep my appointment? If you are going to be late,  just call and let us know.  It is important that you arrive relaxed!

If you need to make a new appointment, please call the agency.

How long does the photography take? About 10 minuets.  You may also have a short wait.
Who can come with me? Models under 18 MUST be accompanied by ONE adult only.
What sort of pictures will be taken?

Head and shoulders plus 3/4 length portraits.  Similar to those on the Portraits page

Clear and 'unfussy' pictures which are used to show Tuesdays Child's clients what each

model looks like and that they are happy and at ease in front of a camera.

The sessions are very undemanding for children.

See examples on Portraits page.

What clothes should I bring?

There is limited space and time available for models to change.

Wear smart/casual clothes that you feel happy in.  Nothing too formal.

Wear only simple make up and none for girls under 12.

The more simply you are dressed - the more modelling jobs you will appear suited to.

Perhaps bring a change of top and maybe a hat or a hair band.

For technical reasons, please avoid bright white tops.

It is best for children who cannot yet walk not to wear dungarees or bulky tops with hoods.

Have your hair as you like it but very unconventional styles will restrict your opportunities of work.

Shoes are not in the pictures.    Please bring a hair brush.

What if the model is not looking at their best?

Don't worry about one or two spots!

We will retouch all photographs so that they give a true impression of how you naturally are.

If you really think you are not at your best, please call on the day and make another appointment.

If your child has lost a lot of milk teeth, it may be best to wait a few weeks.

What if my child is not co operative or I don't like the pictures? Don't worry!

The photographer has four children of his own and has learned to be very patient!

The sessions are very undemanding and children are never expected to 'perform'.

If either the agency or the model is not happy with the results, they can have another session

with no extra charge.

What happens to the pictures once they have been taken? The agency is supplied with copies of all the pictures they require and places a selection

on a CV for each model.

They are also featured in a secure section of the Tuesday's Child web site, which can only be

accessed by clients, and in a printed catalogue published anually.

Within about three weeks, models/parents will be sent an A4 sheet of up to ten proofs together

with Tuesdays Child's modelling information.

The photographer holds digital copies for 12 months.

He holds no personal details of children except for their first names.

Can I use my own photographs instead? Not normally, especially in the case of children, although actors' headshots can be used.

Tuesdays Child need to meet models and see for themselves how they photograph.

Pictures have to be taken professionally.

All photographers have copyright over images they have taken and the agency cannot

reproduce them without permission.

.

Can I get copies of the pictures?

Adult models or parents of children can purchase copies directly from the photographer.

as Emails or prints.        See order form.

What about copyright? The photographer owns the rights to reproduce the pictures but allows models and the agency

to print as many copies as they like for their own use once they have been purchased.

No model release agreement is made between the model and the photographer, so he will

not make the pictures available to any other parties.
